The Zenople Mobile App now allows employees to open and use Time Entry for eligible mobile Time Clock assignments even when shift or schedule details are not set up. This makes mobile punch entry more flexible for organizations that want to capture clock activity without maintaining shift times on every assignment.
HOW TO USE
For Admin Users - Using Mobile Time Clock Without Shift Setup
- Set up the assignment for daily time entry and make sure mobile Time Clock access is enabled for that assignment.
- If your process does not require shift or schedule times, you can leave those details blank.
- Save the assignment.
- The employee can still open Time Entry in the Zenople Mobile App and record punches normally.
For Employees - Recording Time Without Shift Details
- Open the Zenople Mobile App.
- Go to Home > Current Assignment > Time Entry or Employee Portal > Assignments > Time Entry.
- Tap Time Entry for an assignment that is enabled for mobile Time Clock.
- The Time Entry screen opens even if the assignment does not display shift or schedule information.
- Use the available punch actions, such as Clock In, Break Out, Break In, or Clock Out, based on your current status.
- Your punch is recorded normally and continues through the standard time entry process.
NOTES
- Shift or schedule setup is no longer required just to open the mobile Time Clock screen.
- If no shift or schedule details exist, the app hides the shift line and any shift-based timer or late/exceeded messaging on the Time Entry screen.
- This change does not enable mobile Time Clock by itself. The assignment must still be configured for daily time entry and mobile Time Clock access.
- Existing punch rules, validations, and downstream time processing continue to work the same way.
