OVERVIEW

Job and assignment reports now include Job Source and Job Source Description columns. These columns help users identify how a job originated and provide additional context when Other was selected as the source.

HOW TO USE

View Job Source Details in Job Info

  1. Navigate to Reports > Job Info.
  2. Run the report using the filters you need.
  3. Review the Job Source column to see the source recorded for each job.
  4. Review the Job Source Description column when additional detail was entered for a job whose source is Other.
  5. Export the report, if needed. The two columns remain available in the report export.

View Job Source Details in Jobs in Job Portal

  1. Navigate to Reports > Jobs in Job Portal.
  2. Run the report using the filters you need.
  3. Review the Job Source and Job Source Description columns for each listed job.
  4. Export the report, if needed. The two columns remain available in the report export.

View Job Source Details in Assignment List

  1. Navigate to Reports > Assignment List.
  2. Run the report using the filters you need.
  3. Review the Job Source column to identify the source of the related job.
  4. Review the Job Source Description column for the additional description entered when the source is Other.
  5. Export the report, if needed. The two columns remain available in the report export.

NOTES

  • The report columns display the job-source information saved on the related job.
  • Existing report filters and columns continue to work as before; this update adds the two new columns.
  • The report columns are available even when the source information is blank.
  • Existing jobs without recorded job-source information continue to show a blank value. No source is assigned automatically by the reports.
  • When a job has Other as its source and a description was saved, the description appears in Job Source Description.
  • No screenshot or recording was attached to the user story for this document.
  • No linked pull request was available for review. The document is based on the user story, QA test coverage, and the existing Job Source documentation.

EXAMPLES

Illustrative example: A recruiting team reviews the Assignment List report and sees Job Fair in the Job Source column. For another assignment, the source is Other and Job Source Description shows the saved detail, such as “Local workforce partnership.” The team can use this information to understand where jobs originated without opening each job record.

RELATED FEATURES

  • Job Source tracking: Job users can record a source while creating or editing a job. When Other is selected, they can enter a description that is surfaced in these reports.
  • Job Source options: Available source options are maintained under ATM > List Item > Job Source. Report values reflect the options and descriptions saved on the job.

FILTERS AND EXCEPTIONS

  • The report uses the existing report filters and includes the new columns in the existing report results and exports.
  • The update applies to the Job InfoJobs in Job Portal, and Assignment List reports only.
  • A report row remains visible when job-source information is unavailable; the new fields are blank rather than excluding the row.
  • A blank Job Source value means no source was recorded for the related job. It is different from a recorded source with no additional description.
  • Job Source Description is populated only when a description was saved for the related job, including when Other was selected. Otherwise, it remains blank.
  • These columns show job-source information, not current-period, year-to-date, or accumulated totals.
