Personal Information – Address Type Management Enhancement

This feature enhances the Personal Information task by introducing structured address type selection and controlled address entry. It ensures employees can accurately provide Resident, Mailing, and Previous Address information in alignment with USCIS guidelines.

Functionality

• New UI elements or settings
  • An Address Type checkboxwith the following options:
    • Mailing Address
    • Previous Address
  • Resident Address is selected by default.
  • Two optional checkboxes displayed below the Resident Address:
    • “I have a different Mailing Address (PO Box is allowed)”
    • “I have a Previous Address (required if you have lived at your current address for less than 7 years)”
• User interaction behavior
  • Employees may enter a maximum of three addresses, limited to one per address type.
  • When an address list item does notallow multiple addresses:
    • If an address already exists, submitting the form updates the existing address with the new details.
  • When an address list item allowsmultiple addresses:
    • If one or more addresses already exist, submitting the form adds the new address under the same Address Type without replacing existing entries.
  • If an employee enters an address that already exists:
    • A new address record is not created.
    • If the existing address is inactive, it is reactivated.
  • The Resident Address automatically populates as the primary address in the employee profile and is reused in subsequent hiring forms.
  • For Resident Address entry:
    • P.O. Boxes are not permitted.
    • A validation message is displayed if a P.O. Box is entered:
      “Residential Address must be a physical location (street address).”
  • When the Mailing Address or Previous Address checkbox is selected:
    • Address fields matching the Resident Address format are displayed for data entry.
