Manual Break Hours Update and Preservation
Overview
This enhancement provides users with the ability to manually update break hours on any transaction with Template based on 2 entries and ensures the system fully preserves those updates across Zenople. Previously, manual adjustments to break values could be overwritten by automated calculations, such as Auto Lunch Deduction or transaction template logic, leading to incorrect payable hours and payroll inaccuracies.
With this update, any manually updated break value becomes authoritative. It is safeguarded against system-driven recalculations, ensuring compliance, payroll accuracy, and operational integrity. This change empowers users to accurately reflect real-world conditions—such as actual breaks taken or compliance-driven changes—while maintaining consistency across all integrated modules and processes.
Functionality
- Manual Break Update Capability
- Users can update break hours for transactions created from Template based on 2 entries.
- Manual Override Protection
- Once manually updated, break values are marked as overridden.
- Overridden values are not replaced or recalculated by:
- Auto Lunch Deduction
- Time recalculation processes
- Inter-module synchronization
- Downstream Impact
- Updated break values are applied to all payable hour, overtime, payroll, and compliance calculations.

- Employee Portal
- Contact Portal
- TMS (Timesheet/Time Entry)
- Mobile App
- WorkBoard
- ZenTime

Additional Notes
- Manual overrides remain effective until intentionally modified by an authorized user.
