This feature enhances the reserve management process within Zenople by Aqore, specifically in the Work Injury Management (WIM) module.
It introduces support for entering negative, zero, and positive numeric values in the Reserved Amount field when creating or editing cost items.
This capability reflects real-world financial scenarios where reserve amounts must be reduced or adjusted based on actual claim activities. By allowing negative values, users can accurately reflect situations where accrued costs exceed original estimates without system restrictions.
Key Benefits Includes:
- Ensures reserve adjustments accurately match real claim expenditures.
- Eliminates artificial entry restrictions that previously blocked valid financial updates.
- Supports compliance and transparency by allowing total reserves to reflect true values—even when negative.
- Enhances accuracy in claim level reporting and cost forecasting.
Functionality
- Available in WIM > Work Injury Detail Page > Cost.
- The Reserved Amount field now accepts:
- Negative values (e.g., -1050)
- Zero (0)
- Positive values (e.g., 500)
- Users can enter these values during:
- Creation of new cost items
- Editing of existing cost items
- Input validation ensures only numeric values are allowed, with support for:
- Leading minus sign
- Decimal points following standard currency rules
- After saving, values display using Zenople’s standard currency formatting (e.g., -1050 → -$1,050.00).
- The updated value is also reflected in the Cost section of the Snapshot to ensure consistent visibility across the claim view.
- Claim level total reserves can now be negative, providing an accurate picture of situations where actual costs exceed reserve planning.
Additional Notes
- This update focuses exclusively on input and validation changes—no new calculations, system rules, or auto adjustments are introduced.
- All existing business logic, financial summaries, and claim processing behaviors remain unchanged.
- The feature supports standard compliance expectations for transparent financial reporting within Zenople.
- No additional settings or configurations are required; the enhancement applies automatically to all users with access to WIM cost entry.
