Add Workboard to Application List in Email & SMS Template Builder

Prev Next

Overview

  • This feature introduces Workboard as an available application option within the Email & SMS Template Builder.
  • It enables Office Staff users to associate templates directly with Workboard, allowing seamless usage without navigating to other modules.
  • Key benefits include improved efficiency in sending standardized communication, enhanced consistency in messaging, and reduced manual effort when composing emails or SMS from Workboard.

Functionality

  • This enhancement appears within the Email & SMS Template Builder under the “Applications” or “Share with Applications” selection list.
  • It applies to communication functionalities used across modules where email and SMS templates are configured and utilized.
  • A new selectable option, “Workboard,” is added to the list of applications.
  • Users can:
    • Select Workboard individually
    • Select Workboard in combination with other applications when creating or editing templates
  • When users interact with the feature:
    • If Workboard is selected and the template is saved:
      • The template becomes available within Workboard wherever email or SMS functionality exists, such as reminder or follow-up actions.
      • The template content, including subject, body, and merge fields, loads correctly in the compose screen within Workboard.
    • If Workboard is not selected:
      • The template will not be visible or selectable within Workboard.
    • Existing templates configured for other applications continue to function without any changes.

Additional Notes

  • This update ensures compatibility with existing template configurations and does not alter current behavior for templates already in use.
  • Templates must explicitly include Workboard in the application selection to be accessible within it.
  • There are no changes to previously configured templates unless modified to include Workboard.
  • Dependencies include the availability of email and SMS functionality within Workboard contexts where templates are applied.
  • Compliance considerations remain unchanged, as templates continue to follow existing communication and data usage standards.
