Recent Search Option in Global Search

This feature introduces a streamlined "Recent Search" capability directly within Zenople's Global Search interface. Its purpose is to help users quickly locate entities, such as people, customers, or contacts, that they have recently searched for or viewed, without the need to repeat prior queries. When users access Global Search, the new Recent Search option appears in the search type dropdown. This view displays only those entities interacted with via Global Search over the previous 7 days, with grouping and display logic identical to standard Global Search results.

Key Functionality

  • "Recent Search" is added as a new option in the Global Search's Search Type dropdown.
  • Results consist only of entities searched/viewed via Global Search in the last 7 days.
  • All results are grouped by entity type (Person, Customer, Contact) as in standard search results.
  • The most current version of each entity is always shown.
  • The number of displayed results follows similar behavior to other modules' recent toggle logic.
  • The feature only considers activities from the Global Search interface and not from other modules.
