Job Rate Update – Assignment Schedule Update Flow

Prev Next

Overview

This feature enhances how job rate changes are managed within Zenople by Aqore, specifically in the Job Schedule Management module (JSM).
When office staff update a job’s rate, they are now guided through a clearer decision-making process that ensures rate updates are accurately applied to:

  • Existing assignment schedules
  • Future assignment schedules
  • Open transactions without batch IDs

This improvement provides greater control, prevents unintended rate changes, and ensures billing and payroll calculations remain accurate and compliant.

Key Benefits

  • Ensures full transparency when updating job rates
  • Prevents accidental overwriting of existing rates
  • Improves accuracy in assignment costing and financial reporting
  • Reduces manual corrections and operational errors

Functionality

Where It Appears

This functionality is available in the Job Setup area within the JSM module, where job rates are managed.

New UI Elements

  • A confirmation popup appears when a job rate is changed.
  • A slider panel opens (if the user chooses to update existing schedules), displaying multi-select options:
    • List of current assignment schedules
    • List of future assignment schedules
  • Fields for entering:
    • Comment Subject
    • Note

What Happens When Users Interact

  1. When a user changes a job’s rate:
    • The system displays a confirmation message:
“Do you want to update the rate for currently added assignment schedules as well?”
  2. If the user selects No:
    • No existing assignment schedules are updated.
    • All future assignment schedules created after this point will automatically use the updated rate.
  3. If the user selects Yes:
    • A slider appears listing all current and future assignment schedules.
    • The user selects which assignment schedules should receive the updated rate.
    • Clicking Update applies the new rate to the selected assignment schedules only.
  4. Transaction impact:
    • Open transactions without batch IDs automatically receive the updated rate.
    • Transactions with batch IDs remain unchanged.
    • If a transaction with a batch ID is created again, the new rate will apply.
  5. Assignment schedule rate fields are updated accordingly based on the user’s selections.
