Features added to PAS
The following features have been added to Payroll Administrative System (PAS).
Ex Payment Net Exceed Max Option Property
The Ex Payment Net Exceed Max option property allows users to define a maximum net payment balance for exceptions, enabling effective control over billing thresholds in payment processes.
Feature Details
- New Option Property: Max Net Amount:
- Location: Accessible in ATM > Option.
- Entity: Office
- Option: Bill Payment
- Option Property Name: Max Net Amount
- Field Type: Number field for defining maximum allowable payment value.
- Default Value: 1000
Functionality:
The Max Net Amount property determines the maximum net payment value allowed before triggering the Ex Payment Net Exceed Max exception.
This limit will apply during both Bill Payment Processing and Bill Payment Correction procedures, flagging any transactions that exceed the specified threshold.
This new option property enables precise management of payment exceptions, ensuring compliance with defined payment limits.
Advance and Advance Payback enhancements
This release introduces new transaction codes—Advance and Advance Payback—to facilitate streamlined management of advance payments and automatic deductions in the Timesheet Management System (TMS) and Payroll and Accounting System (PAS). These features ensure accurate handling of employee advances, deductions, and exception management.
New Transaction Codes
Following codes are now available in the system:
- Advance: Used to record advance payments in TMS.
- Advance Payback: Automatically created for deduction purposes after processing Advance transactions in PAS.
Functionality
When an Advance transaction is added in TMS, Advance Payback deductions are automatically generated in PAS after batch processing.
The system checks for any existing or outstanding Advance Payback amounts during each deduction process to ensure proper balance adjustments over time.
Exception Handling for Advance Transactions
Exception are also triggered in the following cases:
- When adding a new Advance transaction in TMS for an employee who already has an Advance Payback deduction set up, the system will trigger an exception notifying the user that a new Advance Payback deduction will be set up.
- If the employee already has Advance Payback deductions set up, the system will trigger another exception notifying the user that adjustments will be made to existing deduction.
- If the employee has multiple Advance Payback deductions set up, the system will trigger another exception notifying that user that multiple advance payback deduction code are setup.
Auto Advance Pay Back Calculation Option Property
A new option property, AutoAdvancePayBackCalculation, is now available at the Office level to control automatic calculations of Advance Payback deductions.
- Location: Accessible in ATM > Option.
- Entity: Office
- Option: Payroll
- Option Property Name: Auto Advance Payback Calculation
- Field Type: Boolean with two values:
- True: Enables automatic calculation of Advance Payback deductions for employees with an Advance payment recorded in TMS.
- False (Default): Disables automatic calculations.
- Description: When enabled, this option automatically configures Advance Payback deductions for employees with Advance transactions, adding the Advance amount to payroll deductions.
This release ensures comprehensive management of advance payments and deductions, improving accuracy in payroll processing and enabling configurable automatic deduction calculations per office.
