The following features is added to sales application common.
Contact Role Field: Non-Mandatory Update
This feature updates the "Contact Role" field to be non-mandatory when creating or editing contacts in the system both in web and mobile application. This allows users to add contacts without being forced to assign a role, avoiding unnecessary permissions and automations where a specific role is not applicable.
Functionality
- Non-Mandatory Contact Role: The "Contact Role" field is no longer mandatory when adding or editing a contact.
- Save Without Role: Users can save a contact without selecting or assigning a role.
- Permissions and Automations: If no role is assigned, the system does not trigger any role-based permissions or automations tied to the "Contact Role" field.
- Customer Contact Tab: The "Contact Role" field is non-mandatory in the Contact tab while adding the Customer.
- Contact Import: The "Contact Role" field is non-mandatory when importing contacts.
- Contact Navigation: The "Contact Role" field is non-mandatory when adding a contact from the Contact navigation.
- Role Tagging: No role is tagged if the "Contact Role" field is left empty.
