Overview of Self Assign

The Self Assign feature empowers employees to assign themselves to Temp Jobs and Scheduled Jobs, provided they meet specific eligibility criteria. These criteria are governed by pre-defined conditions to ensure seamless and efficient job assignment. The self assign feature is available both in web and mobile version of Zenople. 

Self-Assign Jobs via Employee Portal

 This enhancement allows employees to self-assign themselves to eligible jobs by clicking the "Pick Job" button in the "Job Listing" navigation of the Employee Portal. When employees meet the eligibility criteria for self-assignment, this feature streamlines the process by triggering the Self-Assign action and providing clear success or failure messages, ensuring transparency and user convenience.

Self-Assign Trigger Logic

  • When an eligible employee clicks the "Pick Job" button, the system triggers the Self-Assign process.
  • A success or failure message is displayed based on the result of the Self-Assign action:
    • Success Message: "You have successfully been assigned to this job. Please verify the details in the email or in the Assignment navigation."
    • Failure Message: "Your assignment request has been confirmed. You will be contacted soon for further details."

Eligibility Conditions for Displaying the Pick Job Button

The "Pick Job" button is visible only when all of the following conditions are met:

  1. The Self Assign status of both the employee and the job is set to "Yes".
  2. The employee does not have a Count as DNA status set to "False".
  3. The user is logged into the system.
  4. The Self Assign status for the job is set to "Yes" in the "Self Assign" dropdown of the Edit/Add Job page.
  5. The Self Assign status for the employee is set to "Yes" in the "Self Assign" dropdown field of the employee profile.
  6. For temporary jobs, the job's start date is in the future.

Location of the Feature

  • The "Pick Job" button and the self-assign functionality are available in the "Job Listing" navigation of the Employee Portal.

Options and Default Setting

  • "Pick Job" Button: Displays only when the above eligibility conditions are satisfied.
  • Self-Assign Logic: Automatically triggers upon clicking the button.


 This feature simplifies the job assignment process for eligible employees and ensures immediate feedback through success or failure messages. It enhances usability by providing a seamless self-assign workflow while adhering to system-defined criteria for job and employee eligibility.

 

 Self Assign Dropdown in Job Section of Service Profile for Customer

This enhancement introduces a "Self Assign" dropdown field in the Job Section of the Service Profile in the mobile application. The field allows users to set whether they can self-assign jobs, improving the flexibility and control in job assignments. This functionality provides three options for users to choose from, based on their preferences or requirements.

Parameter Addition

A new "Self Assign" dropdown field is added to the Job section of the Service Profile for the Customer, with the following options:

  • Yes – Users can self-assign themselves to jobs.
  • No (Default Value) – Self-assign is disabled.
  • Ask every time – Leaves the Apply Self Assign field blank by default for jobs.

Location of the Feature

This field is available in the Job section of the Service Profile within the mobile application, specifically for Customer.

Default Setting and Behavior

  • The default value is No, meaning self-assignment is disabled by default unless the user explicitly selects Yes or Ask every time.
  • If Ask every time is selected, the system prompts the user each time they apply for a job to decide whether to self-assign.

User Interface

  • The dropdown will be visible in the Job Section of the Service Profile and will be easily accessible for customers managing job assignments.
  • The UI for the dropdown will include the three options, allowing for straightforward configuration.

Expected Outcomes

  • The new dropdown field will streamline the job assignment process, allowing users to manage how they are assigned to jobs and enabling flexibility for customer needs.

 Allow Self Assign Dropdown at Employee Level

This enhancement introduces a "Allow Self Assign" dropdown field at the Employee level, allowing administrators to manage the self-assign status for each employee. This feature provides control over whether employees can self-assign to jobs, streamlining job management and ensuring appropriate assignment configurations.

Parameter Addition

A new "Allow Self Assign" dropdown field is added to the Show More section of the Employee Info form in the following scenarios:

  • Adding Employee from EIS
  • Editing Employee from Employee Entity Detail

The dropdown field will have the following options:

  • Yes – Employee is allowed to self-assign to jobs.
  • No (Default) – Employee is not allowed to self-assign to jobs.

Location of the Feature

This field is added in the Show More section of the Employee Info form, and is available in:

  • Employee Info form when adding employees from EIS.
  • Employee Entity Detail when editing an employee.

Default Setting and Behavior

  • The default value for the dropdown is No, meaning self-assignment is disabled by default for newly added employees or when editing existing employees.
  • The value can be modified by the administrator to either Yes or No to enable or disable self-assignment for the employee.

User Interface
