# Accounting Information System (AIS)

## Feature added to AIS:

The following feature has been added to Accounting Information System:

### Expense Type GL Account and Journal Entry Breakdown by State

A new "StateCode" option has been added to the Expense Type GL Item Breakdown hierarchy. This id done to ensure accurate accounting and reporting by including the StateCode in the hierarchy, allowing financial processes to align with state-level requirements.

**New Breakdown Hierarchy:**

- Employer > Company > StateCode > Office > Service Division > Employee Type

**Implementation:**

- The StateCode option will now appear as part of the breakdown in GL Accounts and Journal Entries.
- For journal entries, data will be segmented and reported at the state level where applicable.

**Impact:**

- All financial transactions recorded will adhere to the updated breakdown structure.
- Reporting ensures compliance with state-specific accounting standards.
