# Updates to PTO

## PTO Update – Addition of “None” Option in Accrual Type Dropdown

To provide greater flexibility in Paid Time Off (PTO) management, a new option “None” will be added to the Accrual Type dropdown found in the Accrual Navigation of the ATM application. When selected, the system will compute the PTO balance following basic default accrual rules, allowing for PTO configurations where no specialized accrual types apply.

### Key Functionality

- **New Accrual Type Option:**
  - Add **“None”** as a selectable value in the **Accrual Type** dropdown menu within the PTO Accrual section of the ATM.
- **PTO Balance Calculation:**
  - When **“None”** is selected, PTO balances will be calculated using a defined set of **basic accrual rules**.
  - This is intended as a default simplistic accrual approach for cases where no complex accrual types or schedules are used.
- **System Behavior:**
  - The selection of "None" influences PTO computation throughout the system, ensuring consistency in reporting and leave allocation.
  - Existing PTO rules and accrual calculations operate unchanged when other Accrual Types are selected.

## Removal of the PTO Balance section from Employee Portal

The PTO balance section formerly shown in the Year-to-Date (YTD) information area of the Pay History navigation in the Employee Portal has been removed. This change has been implemented to avoid false information incase of Multiple PTO types, causing confusion.
