# System Level Automations

System-level automations are pre-configured to address common organizational needs, such as sending holiday greetings or birthday messages. These automations are identified by a checked checkbox in the “System Level” column of the automation list view.

### **Available System-Level Automations**

The following table outlines the system-level automations provided:

| Automation Name | Description |
| --- | --- |
| **Happy Birthday** | Sends a text or email to entities with an active status (where the AppliesActive property is true) on their birthday. |
| **Happy Independence Day** | Sends a text or email on Independence Day. |
| **Happy Labor Day** | Sends a text or email on Labor Day. |
| **Happy New Year** | Sends a text or email on New Year’s Day. |
| **Happy Thanksgiving** | Sends a text or email on Thanksgiving. |
| **Merry Christmas** | Sends a text or email on Christmas Day. |

### **­Managing System-Level Automations**

To modify system-level automations, users should follow these steps:

1. **Navigate to the Automation Setup Page**:
  - Access the Automation UI via **ATM > Utility > Automation Setup** in the main menu.
  - The landing page displays a list of active automations. To view both active and inactive automations, toggle the **Active** button to **All**.
2. **Activate or Deactivate an Automation**:
  - Locate the desired automation in the list.
  - Click the **three-dot menu** on the left side of the automation row.
  - Select **Activate** or **Deactivate**, depending on the automation’s current state (e.g., “Deactivate” appears if active).
3. **Edit an Automation**:
  - Click the **star icon** at the top of the automation row and select **Edit**.
  - A sidebar will appear, offering:
    - A checkbox to enable/disable email notifications, with a dropdown to select an email template.
    - A checkbox to enable/disable text notifications, with a dropdown to select a text template.
  - Users can choose to send only email or text by unchecking the respective option.
  - Note: Editing the content of email or text templates is not permitted; users can only select from predefined templates.
4. **Save Changes**:
  - Save the configuration to apply the updates.

### **Differentiating System-Level and User-Created Automations**

In the automation list view, automations are distinguished as follows:

- **System Level Column**: System-level automations have a checked checkbox, while user-created automations have an unchecked checkbox.
- **Status Column**: Indicates whether an automation is **Active** or **Inactive**, applicable to both system-level and user-created automations.
