# Relocation and Persistence of Language Option Across Portals

This feature enhances user accessibility by relocating the **Language option** from the user dropdown menu to the **top ribbon** in the Applicant, New Hire, Employee, and Contact portals. The change ensures that language selection is more prominently visible and easily accessible to all users.

### Functionality

**1. Feature Addition**

- **Location:** The Language option now appears on the **top ribbon** of the Applicant, New Hire, Employee, Contact, and Office Staff portals.
- **UI Change:** Removed from the **My Profile** dropdown menu.

**2. Behavior**

- Users can select their preferred language directly from the top ribbon.
- When a user changes the language on the **login page**, the system persists this preference after a successful normal login and updates it in the database.
- **Important Note:** Language preference is **not updated** during MFA login flow or Forgot Password login flow.

**3. Applicability**

- Applies to:
  - Applicant Portal
  - New Hire Portal
  - Employee Portal
  - Contact Portal
- Exclusions: MFA login flow and Forgot Password login flow do not update language preference.
