# No Document Expiry Date Checkbox for I-9

## No Document Expiry Date Checkbox for I-9

This enhancement introduces a checkbox labeled **"This document doesn't have an expiration date"** for specific I-9 document types in Zenople. The feature allows users to accurately indicate when certain documents do not have an expiration date, ensuring compliance and reducing errors in document tracking.

### Functionality

**1. Checkbox Addition**

- **List A – Alien Registration Receipt Cards (Form I-551):**
  - In the Review I-9 workflow, add a checkbox labeled “This document doesn’t have an expiration date.”
- **List C Documents:**
  - In the I-9 workflow for all List C document types, add the same checkbox.

**2. Checkbox Behavior**

- When the checkbox is selected:
  - The Expiration Date field is disabled and cleared (if previously filled).
  - The system records that the document has no expiration date.
  - This status is reflected in I-9 document views and compliance reports.
- When the checkbox is unselected:
  - The Expiration Date field is enabled and required as per standard process.

**3. Applicability**

- The checkbox is visible for:
  - List A – Alien Registration Receipt Cards (Form I-551)
  - All List C documents
- The checkbox is not shown for other document types in the I-9 workflow.
