# Interview Task

**OVERVIEW**

A new **Interview Form Question Order** setting is now available for **Interview Question** list items. This gives office staff a central place to decide which interview questions appear on an interview task, the order they appear in, and whether each question is required or optional.

The interview task now follows question setup automatically instead of relying on a fixed form. The same question library can be reused for different interview task contexts by combining **Interview Form Question Order**, **Is Visible**, and **Relates To**.

**HOW TO USE**

**For Office Staff - Configure Interview Questions**

1. Navigate to **ATM > List Item**. -> The list item setup page opens.
2. Open the **Interview Question** category. -> You can review and manage the questions available for interview tasks.
3. Expand the interview question you want to configure. -> The question properties become available for editing.
4. Review these properties together:
  - **Interview Form Question Order**
  - **Is Visible**
  - **Relates To** -> These three settings work together to control whether the question appears on the task form.
5. Set **Interview Form Question Order** to the value you want. -> You can choose **None** or any position from **1st** through **20th**, with each position available as **Required** or **Optional**.
6. Save the question setup. -> The interview task uses the updated display order and requirement rule the next time the task form is generated.

**What Each Setting Does**

1. Set **Interview Form Question Order** to **None**. -> The question stays hidden on the interview task form.
2. Set **Interview Form Question Order** to a numbered value such as **1st (Required)**, **2nd (Optional)**, or **7th (Optional)**. -> The question appears in that sequence on the interview task form.
3. Choose a **Required** sequence value. -> The user must answer that question before the task can be submitted.
4. Choose an **Optional** sequence value. -> The question appears on the form, but the user can leave it blank and still submit the task.
5. Set **Is Visible** to **False**. -> The question stays hidden even if a numbered order is selected.
6. Set **Relates To** to the correct form context. -> The question only appears when the interview task matches that context, such as **Employee** or **Assignment**.

**For Employees - Complete the Interview Task**

1. Navigate to **Employee Portal > Tasks > Interview**. -> The assigned interview task opens with the questions configured for that task.
2. Review the questions shown on the form. -> Only questions that are visible, assigned to the matching form context, and given a numbered order appear.
3. Complete all questions marked as required. -> The task cannot be submitted until all required questions are answered.
4. Leave optional questions blank if they are not needed. -> Optional questions do not block submission.
5. Complete any follow-up question that appears after your answer. -> The form can show additional follow-up prompts when a configured answer requires more detail.
6. Submit the interview task. -> Your answers are saved to the interview record.
