# Favorite Office

**Favorite Offices in Data Access**

**Overview**

This enhancement introduces the ability for Zenople users to **mark offices as favorites** directly from the **Data Access UI**, giving multi-office users a quicker way to identify and select the offices they use most frequently. The Favorites feature delivers a streamlined, personalized experience while maintaining full alignment with existing access controls, ensuring that no user can view or select offices beyond their authorized access.

Favorites act purely as a convenience mechanism within the user’s Data Access permissions. Offices marked as favorites remain visible and selectable only when the user has active authorization. Removing a favorite does not affect underlying access rights, and favorites persist across sessions, giving each user a consistent personal workspace setup. This update improves navigation efficiency in large tenant environments with multiple office locations.

**Functionality**

- Available in the **Data Access** interface across modules.
- A **star icon** is displayed alongside each authorized office, enabling users to **mark or unmark** an office as a favorite.
- Favorites are **user-specific** and **persist** across supported sessions and navigation.
- Only offices within the **user’s authorized Data Access** can be marked or displayed as favorites.
- Removing a favorite does **not** alter underlying office permissions.
- The **Select dropdown** now includes a **Favorite option**, allowing users to filter or select favorite offices using existing selection behavior.
- When **Select All** is used to deselect offices, the **default office remains selected**, and favorite offices are deselected.
- Favorites follow **user isolation** rules—each user’s favorite configuration is private and not shared with other users.
- If a user’s authorization to a favorite office is removed or the office becomes ineligible, the office will automatically disappear from the favorites list.
- The UI visually indicates the favorite state using the star icon, allowing intuitive identification and quick toggling.

**Additional Notes**

- Marking an office as a favorite is restricted to those within current Data Access permissions; no favorites can be created or displayed for unauthorized offices.
- Office status or authorization changes are automatically reflected, preventing display of invalid favorites.
- The Favorites feature enhances efficiency and personalization while fully respecting Zenople’s **security and access compliance standards**.
