# Extend Assignment Schedule from Work Board

## Extend Assignment Schedule Action in Work Board

Users want the ability to extend assignments directly from the Work Board for transactions related to Job Schedule Management (JSM). This feature allows users to fulfill daily roster requirements more efficiently by using the Work Board navigation for extending assignment schedules.

### Key Functionality

- Extend Assignment Schedule Action Availability:
  - The Extend Assignment Schedule action is added as a single-select action within the Work Board navigation.
  - This action is specifically enabled for JSM transactions.
- Non-JSM Transaction Handling:
  - If a user selects a transaction not related to JSM, the system displays a toaster notification:  
*"The extend action functions for Assignment Schedules of Scheduled Jobs."*
- User Interface Consistency:
  - The slider UI for extending the schedule appears consistent with the existing slider used in JSM, providing a familiar experience.
- Enhanced Extend Update Functionality:
  - This feature integrates with the new process which addition of schedules within the Extend action.
