# Enhancement to Gross Profit Detail Report: Transaction-Level User Reporting, Inclusion of Inactive Users, and Customer ID Parameter

## Enhancement to Gross Profit Detail Report: Transaction-Level User Reporting, Inclusion of Inactive Users, and Customer ID Parameter

### **Overview**

This feature introduces three key improvements to the **Gross Profit Detail** report in Zenople:

1. **Transaction-Level User Reporting** – A new option, **Transaction**, is added to the **User Level** parameter. This enables reporting based on the User Type recorded at the transaction level during the specific Accounting Period, ensuring historical accuracy even if the user’s details are later modified.
2. **Inclusion of Inactive Users** – The report now includes data for both active and inactive users, preserving historical reporting integrity for users who are no longer active.
3. **Customer ID Parameter Addition** – A new **Customer ID** parameter is available for selection when running the report. Additionally, the system can display **Customer Name and Customer ID combined**, if feasible, for improved clarity.

### **Functionality**

#### **1. Feature Addition**

- **Location:** Gross Profit Detail Report (Paginated and Spreadsheet reports).
- **New UI Elements:**
  1. **User Level Parameter** now includes an additional option: **Transaction**, alongside existing options (Customer, Order, Assignment).
  2. **Customer ID** is now available as a selectable parameter.
  3. Option to display **Customer Name and Customer ID combined**, if feasible.

#### **2. Behavior**

- When **Transaction** is selected under **User Level**, the report displays the original User Type (e.g., Sales Rep) recorded at the time of the transaction creation.
- This data remains unchanged even if the user is later modified.
- The report includes data for both **active and inactive users**, ensuring complete historical accuracy.
- Customer ID can be used as a filter parameter for precise reporting.
