# E-Verify Verbiage Update

## Refine Duplicate Case Note Verbiage in E-Verify

To improve employer understanding of duplicate case flagging in E-Verify, the verbiage for the duplicate case note has been refined. The updated language provides clearer explanation about E-Verify's 30-day rule and the detection of identical I-9 information across cases, regardless of the original case's age.

The duplicate case note message will now read: "There are other cases that have been created for this person in the last 30 Days, or a new submission with identical key I-9 details has been identified, irrespective of the original case creation date. Please specify a reason for creating a new case."
