# DDS Overview

## 1.1 What Is the Dynamic Dashboard System?

The **Dynamic Dashboard System (DDS)** is Zenople's analytics and performance-tracking application. It brings together financial data, staffing metrics, productivity goals, and revenue pipeline management into a single, configurable workspace. Originally developed as the Sales and Revenue application, DDS was expanded to its current form to serve both operational staff and management with real-time and historical visibility across the business.

DDS is not a reporting tool in the traditional sense. It is a live workspace that each user can configure to show the data most relevant to their role — from payroll trends and customer billing to individual productivity goals and revenue opportunities.

## 1.2 Key Benefits

- **Personalised visibility** — each user configures their own dashboard with the widgets and metrics that matter to their daily work.
- **Goal accountability** — productivity goals are tracked automatically against actual system data, giving managers and staff an objective view of performance.
- **Pipeline transparency** — the Finish Line navigation gives sales-oriented staff a structured view of every revenue opportunity in progress, with clear stage tracking and date-based follow-up indicators.
- **At-a-glance insights** — the Insights navigation provides tabbed analytics across finance, workforce, recruitment, accounts receivable, and more, without requiring any manual data exports.
- **Consistent data** — all metrics in DDS are drawn from the same underlying Zenople data that drives payroll, billing, and HR processes, ensuring consistency with other parts of the system.

## 1.3 Intended User Roles

DDS is designed for use by back-office professionals in staffing agencies. The navigations and features available may vary depending on the access rights granted to a user's role.

| **Role** | **Typical Usage** |
| --- | --- |
| **Administrator** | Full access to all navigations; configures productivity templates and widget templates for the organisation; manages which staff can access the Finish Line and Productivity Board. |
| **Branch Manager / Director** | Monitors team productivity goals; reviews the Finish Line pipeline for their branch; uses Insights for operational decision-making. |
| **Sales / Account Executive** | Maintains Revenue Opportunities in the Finish Line; tracks personal productivity goals; reviews dashboard widgets for business development metrics. |
| **Recruiter** | Tracks assignment counts, job candidate counts, and applicant productivity goals; uses the Productivity Board to monitor goal progress against targets. |
| **Back-Office Staff** | Configures personal dashboard widgets for operational metrics such as payroll trends and paid employee counts. |

## 1.4 Navigations at a Glance

DDS contains six navigations, each accessible from the left-hand menu when inside the DDS application.
