# Date Type Additional Parameter

## **New Additional Parameter: “Date Type” in Global Search**

This enhancement extends the global search functionality by introducing a new additional parameter: “Date Type”. This enables users to filter search results by specific date types relevant to various entity categories such as Applicant, New Hire, Employee, Contact, Lead, Target, New Customer, and Customer. It provides more precise querying capabilities by combining date types with date ranges using "Date From" and "Date To" pickers.

### Functionality

- The Date Type parameter is available under Additional Parameters in the following search contexts:
  - Global Search (Advanced Search)
  - Directory Filter (Advanced Search)
  - DHM > Auto Match
  - TJM > Add Candidate
  - JSM > Search and Match
- Date Type Selection: The Date Type field is a multi-select dropdown showing all date types matching the following criteria for the List Item : Date Type:
  - is Visible = True
  - Relates To includes any of these entities: Applicant, New Hire, Employee, Contact, Lead, Target, New Customer, Customer
- Date Range Filtering:
  - After selecting one or more date types, users can specify a date range using “Date From” and “Date To” date pickers.
  - The search filters results where the relevant dates correspond to the selected date types within the specified range.

***Note: If a Date Type does not exist for an application, it will not appear in the Date Type dropdown of the Saved Search in the Directory Filter.***
