Creating a Custom Automation Rule

To create a new automation rule, users should follow these steps:

  1. Initiate the Creation Process:
    • On the Automation Setup page, click the star icon and select + Add. This option can be pinned outside the star menu by marking it as a favorite for quick access.
  2. Access the Automation Creation Interface:
    • A new UI will display:
      • A list of pre-defined triggers on the left-hand side.
      • A central canvas for configuring the automation rule.
  3. Select a Trigger:
    • Choose the desired trigger from the available list, organized into three categories: Applicant/New Hire, Assignment, and Others (detailed below).
  4. Configure Trigger Parameters:
    • Specify parameters such as office locations, person status, or assignment status, as required by the selected trigger.
  5. Define the Action:
    • On the canvas, select the action to be executed when the trigger is activated (e.g., sending an SMS, email, or survey).
  6. Save the Automation:
    • Save the configuration to activate the automation rule.
