# Calculate Overtime (OT) and Double Time (DT) Rates in TMS Using Regular Time (RT) Rate and Multipliers

## Calculate Overtime (OT) and Double Time (DT) Rates in TMS Using Regular Time (RT) Rate and Multipliers

Users of the Time Management System (TMS) require precise calculation of OT and DT pay rates based on the regular time (RT) hourly rate and applicable multipliers. This calculation must account for specified multipliers or default to standard values if none are provided, ensuring compliant and accurate payroll processing.

### Functionality

- **Calculation Logic:**
  - If an RT Rate exists, calculate OT Rate = RT Rate × OT Multiplier.
  - If OT Multiplier is unspecified, default to 1.5.
  - Calculate DT Rate = RT Rate × DT Multiplier.
  - If DT Multiplier is unspecified, default to 2.0.
- **Timing of Process:**
  - The OT and DT rate calculations occur during the OT Split process within TMS.

Note: This feature works when the multipliers have not been setup.
