# Assignment Rating

## Assignment Rating for Ended Assignment

This feature lets users assign a performance rating (1–5 stars) when ending an employee’s assignment in Zenople (TJM and JSM > Assignment tab). The ratings are then averaged and displayed in the employee’s file under Hiring Information > Additional Information ("Assignment Rating" field), Assignment Directory, and in the Assignment Schedule snapshot. This provides a simple way to track employee performance across assignments.

### Functionality

**1. Assigning Ratings**

- When ending an assignment, user selects a **rating from 1 (lowest) to 5 (highest)**.
- Rating value uses regular round-off (e.g., 3.5 → 4).
- A rating value of 0 is also available to indicate "no rating," but it is excluded from all calculations and averaging

**2. Calculation and Aggregation**

- **Average assignment rating** is calculated from all ended assignments for the employee. Ratings marked as 0 are not considered in this calculation.

**3. Display and Update**

- New field **"Assignment Rating"** is added under all the assignment navigation, such as:
  - Employee file > Hiring Information > Additional Information
  - Assignment Directory (column)
  - Assignment Schedule (column)
- In the directories, ratings are derived from performance codes, with additional columns added to ensure alignment between performance and rating, enhancing overall clarity
- The Assignment Rating is distinct from the Professional Summary in Additional Information.

**4. Editing and Automation**

- Assignment ratings cannot be directly edited in EIS Additional Information.
- However, if a performance rating on an assignment is updated, the average rating auto-recalculates and updates the aggregated Assignment Rating in the Additional Information.
- The Additional Information section on the employee file remains editable for other details.
- To Edit the Assignment Rating for a particular Performance:
  - Navigate to ATM> List Item.
  - Select Category: Performance.
  - Update the value of the Rating List Item Property of your required entity.

**5. Bulk Operations**

- The Bulk End Assignment forms currently do not display the *Assignment Rating* column in the assignment listing preview.
- In scenarios involving multiple assignments (e.g., five assignments), if a rating of 4 is applied, this rating should be consistently reflected across all related assignments in the *Directory View*.

**6. Performance Code Mapping**

- Each performance code in the existing list now has a **Rating** property added.
- Custom performance codes are mapped to a standard 1–5 rating.
