# Addition of “Last Work Date” Column in Employee Directory and Date Type Navigation in EIS

This feature introduces a new column, **“Last Work Date”**, in the Employee Directory within the **Employee Information System (EIS)**. It also adds a corresponding **Date Type** in the Date Type navigation for each employee.

The purpose of this enhancement is to allow users to quickly identify the most recent work date for employees. This helps in efficiently managing attendance patterns, identifying inactive employees, and monitoring work gaps.

## Functionality

### **Feature** **Addition**

- **Location:**Employee Directory list view in EIS.
  1. A column labeled **“Last Work Date”** added to the Employee Directory.
  2. A new **Date Type** labeled “Last Work Date” added in the Date Type navigation for each employee.
- **Note: The last work date is updated every midnight.**

### Column Details:

- Displays the most recent recorded work date in MM/DD/YYYY format.
- Remains blank if no work date exists (no placeholder text such as “N/A”).
- Sortable and filterable.
- Included in the column selector for show/hide and position adjustment.
- By default, the column is not selected and appears at the end of the list.
- Appears in exports (Excel, CSV) when selected.

### Date Type Navigation:

- Displays “Last Work Date” as a read-only date type.
- Matches the same date shown in the Employee Directory column.
- Only visible for employees with valid data.
- Cannot be manually edited by users.
