# Added Form 8879-EMP E-File Authorization

### Overview

The **Form 8879-EMP E-File Authorization** feature enables employers to digitally authorize the electronic filing of **Form 941** directly within ZenTax. Instead of requiring external documentation, the feature presents the IRS-required Form 8879-EMP within the application and automatically populates it with existing employer and filing data.

Users only need to provide their **signature name and taxpayer PIN**, after which the system securely records the authorization and enables immediate PDF download for recordkeeping.

The IRS mandates that **Form 8879-EMP must be completed and signed** before any Form 941 can be electronically filed. This form authorizes the Electronic Return Originator (ERO) to submit the return.

This feature ensures:

- Compliance with IRS requirements
- Elimination of manual documentation steps
- Seamless continuation of the e-file workflow without leaving ZenTax
